Jake Knapp presents "Gmail Priority Inbox: Behind the scenes"

The user interface for Priority Inbox isn't complicated, but user experience designers and researchers played a major - and sometimes unusual - role in its development.

Google designer Jake Knapp will tell the behind the scenes story from the beginnings as one engineer's 20% project through public launch. He'll show videos used to pitch the concept inside Google, talk about Thanksgiving in Switzerland, and describe how he put 200 Googlers through a month of hell.

Come early (6:30-7) to grab a bite to eat (free food!) and visit with your colleagues.

Here are the details:

6:30 - 7 pm Social and light refreshments

7 - 7:15 pm Announcements and updates

7:15 - 8:15 pm Presentation

8:15 - 8:30 Q&A
