October Monthly Meeting: Design Thinking Workshop with Ben Grossman-Kahn and Telle Zeiler

Ben Grossman-Kahn of the Nordstrom Innovation Lab and Telle Zeiler, Nordstrom UX Research team, will lead an experiential deep dive into the Design Thinking process and mindsets. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, practice user empathy and rapid prototyping, and learn the power of reframing needs. Stick around after the workshop for a discussion on how to apply design thinking mindsets and tools into daily practice and team culture.

About Ben
Ben Grossman-Kahn, M.Ed currently supports the Nordstrom Technology “People Lab” and was most recently an Innovation Coach and Design Researcher with the Nordstrom Innovation Lab. Prior to entering the world of corporate innovation, Ben was Education and Innovation manager at Children’s Creativity Museum in SF, as well as a teacher, summer camp director, and founder of a children’s birthday party business. Ben spent several years as a Project lead with the Stanford d.School K-12 Lab and Executive Education team, bringing design thinking activities and curriculum to partner organizations in New York, Taiwan, and the Bay Area. Ben has a B.A in Asia Studies from Pomona College and an M.Ed in Learning, Design, Technology from Stanford University. 

About Telle
Telle Zeiler is a Sr. UX Researcher at Nordstrom. She provides UX research support for web site, mobile site, mobile app and store technology projects. Previously she worked with Ben in the Nordstrom Innovation Lab using Design Thinking and Lean UX to come up with and test new and innovative business ideas with customers. She has a M.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington with a concentration in user-centered design.
